Kennedy recalls a funny story about her friend Rafe during a review in Mr. Binney's Social Studies class. This is a photo of the friends at Halloween.
Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr HS students continue to make tributes to their friend, Rafe, who passed suddenly during his sophomore year and is missed by all who knew him.

Tyler, a varsity track runner, organized a 5K run/walk in honor of his friend and fallen classmate, Rafe. The event was held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 on the track at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr HS. It was a fundraiser created entirely by Tyler to benefit Rafe's memorial soccer scholarship fund. Tyler talks about the hugely successful event that raised almost $4,000 and was attended by almost 300 people. He hopes the event will continue to grow every year in memory of his lost friend.

Erin records a tribute podcast to her computer buddy, Rafe, from 7th period Computer class. Erin talks about how a "bum" assignment became a lasting rememberance.

Courtney was a good friend of Rafe and wanted to tell a story about her and Rafe in English class.

On December 1, 2007, Rafe M. passed away suddenly, a week before his 16th birthday. Rafe was a fun-loving great kid, a quiet student, a terrific athlete and loved by all who knew him. His friends are recording their tribute to him by sharing some of their memories. He will be forever in our hearts at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School.

On October 10th, 30 students from the Academy of International Business went to the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce for their first field trip. We heard from 4 guest speakers: Ms. Deborah Blair of the Community Educators Credit Union, Mr. Randy Harris of the Chamber, Mr Mac McLouth, former Commissioner for the Port of Canaveral and Mr. Michael Chriswell of Revelations Training. It was a memorable event! Special thanks to the Community Educators Credit Union who paid for our lunch.

Here we meet the new Academy students and tour the school. Our new auditorium will soon be open and the front of our school is being renovated.

Homecoming was Friday, Sept 22 and it was also Spirit Day. In this video, students talk about Cocoa Beach, the history, the IB program and the Drama Department.

We have a brand new lab with flat screen monitors and great new PC's. Our first lessons are in Word, then we continue with the Office Suite. We are excited to meet the students in the other High Schools. This is our first class using Moviemaker and podcasts.
